Background and Purpose

  • To highlight the importance of human resource exchange as exchange and cooperation between NEAR member regional governments in Northeast Asia increases
  • There is an annual increase in international human resources as a result of the geographical and cultural strengths of the region and the promotion of introduction and exchange of international human resources
  • To continuously promote mutual projects such as cooperation between Russian and Korean universities through graduate exchange programs and administrative training initiatives between Japan, Korea, and Mongolia
  • To approve of the designation of Jilin Province as a coordinator of the subcommittee at the Eleventh Working Committee in 2017

Major Activities

  • Establishing the Subcommittee on the International Exchange of Human Resources in Hunchun City located in the region bordering North Korea, China, and Russia
  • Holding events such as the joint forum for human resources projects in Northeast Asia
  • Sharing information and human resources of local governments in the region, and establishing a platform for exchange of human resources to explore methods of further cooperation
