Former Korean Consul-General in Shenyang CHOI Doo-seok, who recently completed his term and returned to Korea, visited the NEAR Secretariat on Friday, February 17. He exchanged opinions with Secretary-General LIM Byung-jin on the recent major concerns and other issues of the three provinces of Northeast China.

Mr. Lim noted that Mr. Choi has extensive diplomatic experience, having served as Minister of the Korean Embassy to China, and then as Consul-General in Shenyang, China. So he asked Mr. Choi for his advice for enhancing cooperation with NEAR's Chinese member regional governments and his interest and support for NEAR.

On February 20, Vice-Mayor KIM Nam-il and his delegation from Pohang City visited the NEAR Secretariat on Monday, February 20 to discuss international cooperation that Pohang City is currently promoting with Mr. Lim.
