NEAR Secretary-General Jun Jae-won attended 2016 Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum and Taiyuan International Energy Industry Expo held in Shanxi Province, China, on September 7. Shanxi Province will be joining NEAR as a new member at the General Assembly this September. The province has a shown high interest in the energy industry, registering to be the coordinator of the Sub-Committee on Energy and Climate Change. Secretary-General Jun also held a meeting with Mr. Luo Qingyu, Vice-Governor of Shanxi Province, and held discussions on joining NEAR as a member, in addition to various topics such as continuous economic cooperation and cultural exchange.
