A member of the NEAR Secretariat headed by the director Kwon Nam-won of the department of Planning and Public Relations visited the Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia Pacific Cities (TPO) in Busan to extend networks and promote information exchange with other international organizations specializing in tourism on December 13, 2016.
NEAR established and has been operating the Subcommittee on Tourism, and has held an international forum under the theme of ‘The Role of Tourism in Collaboration and Development in Northeast Asia,’ on November 25, 2016 in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
TPO is an international organization, for the networking of inter-city cooperation and development of the tourism industry in the Asia Pacific region. Engaged in various events for the development for goods and services in tourism, the TPO will consider holding events such as joint forums with NEAR in the future.
