The NEAR Secretariat participated in the 12th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity under the theme, ‘Sharing a Common Vision for Asia’s Future,’ from May 31 to June 2.
The forum ran for three days from May 31 in the presence of 5,500 people from 81 countries. 75 sessions covering five different fields were held at the International Convention Center Jeju.
A delegation from the NEAR Secretariat including the International Cooperation Team II Manager and a staff member participated in various sessions encompassing ‘Challenges and the Future of Asia’ by government officials, and scholars.
Furthermore, the delegation met with high-level managers from TCS (China-Japan-Korea Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat) and JPI (Jeju Peace Institute) and were granted the opportunity to introduce NEAR and broaden human networks.
