NEAR Secretary-General Visits TCS and Discusses Cooperative Plans2017-06-13

On June 8, 2017, Secretary-General of the Association of Northeast Asia Regional Governments (NEAR) Hong Jong-kyoung visited the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS), and discussed NEAR’s development plans, as well as potential joints projects between the two organizations.

Secretary-General HONG met with TCS Deputy Secretary-General Lee Jong-heon and exchanged views on the prospects of trilateral relations and discussed possible ways of collaboration between the TCS and NEAR.

Deputy Secretary-General Lee said that NEAR may cover the limitations of the exchange between the central governments. TCS anticipates more active and deeper exchange and co-prosperity through mutual cooperation between TCS and NEAR.

The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) is an international organization established with a vision to promote peace and common prosperity among the central governments of the Republic of Korea, Japan, the People’s Republic of China. Currently, it seeks out and supports the operation of  trilateral cooperation and various projects among the three countries.
