A delegation headed by Secretary-General Hong Jong-kyoung visited Yinchuan City, the capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China to attend to the China-Arab States EXPO 2017, in response to the invitation of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Secretary-General Hong discussed plans related to NEAR with Vice Chairman Cai Guoying of the Ningxia Communist Party of China Central Committee on September 5. 
 

Secretary-General Hong met with Communist Party Secretary Shi Taifeng of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region at the Welcoming Reception, where Secretary Shi Taifeng expressed Ningxia’s willingness and intention in host the NEAR General Assembly or Subcommittee on Tourism in the future. Secretary-General Hong responded by expressing his gratitude and that the NEAR Secretariat would positively review the suggestion.

On September 6 (Wed.), Secretary-General Hong attended the Opening Ceremony of China-Arab States EXPO 2017, and congratulated the organizers on the successful event. The China-Arab States EXPO, a representative platform for exchange and cooperation between China and the Arab States, is the largest international biannual event held by the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
