NEAR Secretary-General Hong Jong-Kyoung visited Changsha City of Hunan Province on Thursday, September 28, and held talks with the NEAR Chairman, Governor Xu Dazhe of Hunan Province, China.

Secretary-General Hong delivered a message of appreciation for the efforts of Hunan Province and Zhangjiajjie City for the successful holding of the Working Committee meeting and International Forum and briefed Charmain Xu Dazhe on the outcomes of the Working Committee. The Chairman responded that he appreciated the NEAR Secretariat and requested their active cooperation for next year’s General Assembly.

Furthermore, Hunan Province stated that it would continue to participate and support NEAR for prosperity and peace in Northeast Asia.
