On March 9, NEAR Secretary General Kim Ok-chae delivered a two-hour special lecture for public officers who belong to the Gyeongsangbuk-do provincial government and the city and county governments in the province. The public officers were undergoing training for the Global Course hosted by South Korea’s Gyeongsangbuk-do Human Resource Development Institute.

In his lecture, Secretary General Kim gave a presentation on the organization and functions of NEAR to trainees, asking them to make good use of it as a platform for exchange and cooperation between Northeast Asian regional governments. He also spoke on protocol and international etiquette that public officers are required to know about in the global era.
