On November 13, Governor Lee Cheol-woo of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province signed a sisterhood agreement with Governor Yuzaki Hidehiko of Hiroshima Prefecture, who visited the provincial government office, to strengthen practical exchanges and cooperation between the two regional governments.
The two regions have actively promoted people-to-people exchanges through high school student programs, international student initiatives, and the Hiroshima Junior International Forum. With the signing of this agreement, they agreed to further expand cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including human exchange, culture, tourism, and public administration.
Gyeongsangbuk-do plans to actively attract school excursion groups, international students, and Japanese tourists, while developing cooperative programs in various fields such as industry, culture, and youth to further enhance the friendship between the two regions.
