Secretary General Kim Ok-chae Meets with Vice President of Mongolia International University (MIU)2019-07-26

On Thursday, July 25, Secretary General Kim Ok-chae met with Vice President of Mongolia International University (MIU), Heo Kwon, to discuss cooperative plans between the NEAR Secretariat and MIU.
In the meeting, Vice President Heo shared the founding objectives of MIU, and he expressed his desire to collaborate with the Secretariat for the purposes of granting the students of MIU the opportunity to experience international exchange.
MIU was founded in 2002 with the aim of nurturing global leadership under the endorsement of the former president of Mongolia, Natsagiin Bagabandi. The founding president of MIU was Kwon Oh-moon. MIU has a high percentage of overseas faculties who comprise 90 percent of the faculty body. All of its courses are taught in English, and the 1,000 students come from 10 different countries including Mongolia, Korea, China, Russia, Afghanistan, and Nigeria.
