Seven staff members of the NEAR Secretariat, including Director Yim Eun-jin, of the Department of Planning and Public Relations, visited the “Namdo Art Gallery,” in Jeollanam-do Public Library where they viewed the past award-winning works. In addition, they met with Kim Dong-cheol, the head of International Exchange Team, Jeollanam-do Provincial Office, and discussed the current status of major activities of NEAR and international exchange among member regional governments. 

Jeollanam-do Province joined NEAR as a founding member and served as the 10^th NEAR chair. As such, it has taken the lead in exchange activities among member regional governments. In addition, Jeollandam-do Province is actively participating in the NEAR activities, and served as a panel member at the NEAR International Forum held this year.
