The Secretariat delegation led by Secretary General visited Tottori Prefectural office and met with staff of Tottori Prefecture as well as a counselor of Tourism and Exchange Bureau on July 30. Tottori, a founding member of NEAR is a region which has made its utmost efforts for local globalization. While Tottori has established active relations with Korea, Tottori is in difficulty in participating in the NEAR events, so Secretary General visited Tottori to encourage the region. Secretary General Jun made suggestions to introduce ‘Kingdom of Cartoon‘ which makes Tottori Prefecture attractive during the NEAR events, and counselor Ebora Osamu said that he will try to attend NEAR events in the future and promote these projects through NEAR.
