Vice Governor of Turkestan Region, Kazakhstan, Sends Letter of Appreciation to NEAR Secretary-General

On Friday, July 18, Mr. Talgat Kozbekov, Vice Governor of Turkestan Region, Kazakhstan, delivered a letter of appreciation to NEAR Secretary-General Lim Byung-jin in recognition of the 2025 NEAR Public Officials Training Program, which was held over ten days from June 25 to July 4 at Yeungnam University.


In the letter, Vice Governor Kozbekov expressed his gratitude, stating that the program provided valuable insights into Korea’s experience in sustainable regional development and the Saemaul Undong (New Village Movement). He also appreciated the opportunity to engage with participants from various countries. He noted that the knowledge and case studies gained during the training would be instrumental in future administrative practice and offered high praise for the overall organization and content of the program.



Meanwhile, the 2025 NEAR Public Officials Training Program was attended by 16 government officials from five NEAR member countries: China (5), Mongolia (8), Russia (1), Kyrgyzstan (1), and Kazakhstan (1). Representing Kazakhstan was Mr. Kazbek Seidazhim, Department Head of Turkistan Invest in the Turkestan Region.
