Young students from Japan and Russia mingle with each other in “The 21st-Century Ishikawa Wings of Youth program.”

Ishikawa Prefecture has promoted comprehensive partnerships with Irkutsk Region of Russia, Jiangsu Province of China and Jeollabuk-do Province of Korea in various fields, including youth exchange, and one of its outstanding joint projects is “The 21st-Century Ishikawa Wings of Youth.” This program aims to develop a global mindset and tolerance among young talents who will shoulder the future of Northeast Asia. Well received by participating students, it gives opportunities to visit partner regions and experience the school life, culture and home-stays. The youth exchange program is scheduled for 2012 as well and Ishikawa expects more interest and participation by youth who want to have various experiences, transcend the barrier of language and culture and extend the boundaries of friendship.
