NEAR Director General KIM Jong-Hak attended the founding ceremony of People.com.kr Co, Ltd, which operates the Korean website built by People's Daily, the official newspaper of the Communist Party of China. As part of the ceremony, participants took part in a special lecture and exchanged views on recent social and economic developments in China and the agenda of “Lianghui (The Two Meetings)” or the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and plenary sessions of the National People’s Congress which began from 3 March in Beijing.  

During his talks with JIE Hae-Bum, Director of the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies of Chosun Daily, Korea’s one of the major daily newspapers and the sponsoring organization of this event, Mr. Kim congratulated the successful launching and agreed to forge closer cooperation between the two organizations.
