This summer, Toyama World Festival of Children’s Performing Arts 2012 will take place from 30 July to 5 August 2012 under the theme, “We build the Future.” Around 2,400 children from 20 organizations overseas, 16 or more organizations from other Japanese prefectures and organizations from Toyama are expected to participate. In particular, a total of three organizations from NEAR member regions will join this time, including Gangwon-do province of Korea, Primorsky Region of Russia and Ishikawa Prefecture of Japan.

 To promote mutual cultural exchange and friendship of the participants, and help cultivate the creativity of children, various kinds of plays, musical and dancing performances, workshops and stage art films for children will be organized.
