On 15-18 November, Secretary General Kim participated in the 11^th Yellow Sea Rim Economic and Technology Conference, which was held in Daejeon Convention Center (Daejeon Metropolitan City, R.O.K.) and coordinated by the Northeast Asian Community Studies Institute.

The conference was founded in 2001 in Fukuoka, Japan, as China, Japan and Korea agreed to promote close cooperation in trade, investment and technology at the ASEAN+3 Summit in 1999. Co-organized by Korean Ministry of Knowledge and Economy, Kyushu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology, it has been held every year since 2001 in rotation between the three countries.
