Presentations were made on the development status of innovation clusters in Northeast Asia, while participants shared views and expectations on possible cooperation projects between NEAR members to enhance economic growth through innovation.

At the end of the meeting, participated regions adopted the “Cooperation for the Development of Innovation Clusters in Northeast Asia” and agreed to collaborate on studying and developing innovation cluster policies and cooperate for long and short-term human exchanges, seminars and forums.

Gyeonggi-do, the Coordinator of the Sub-Committee outlined its mid- and long-term plan to establish an Advisory Board as well as a “NEAR Sub-Committee Alliance” of all players from academia, business and industry to public and private organizations aimed at operating more useful programs.
