The Minister of Mongolia and Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat and his family visited Tottori Prefecture, Japan from August 19-23 to meet with the Governor of Tottori Prefecture and make a tour to the region.

Sundui Batbold, then Governor of Tuv province, visited the prefecture before in 1997 to participate in  "San-In, Dream, and Harbor Expo" hosted by Tottori and in 2000 to represent Mongolia in "the Conference of the Governors of the East Sea Rim Region." This visit was planned to introduce the Prefecture to his family due to his experience of warm hospitality of the residents and beautiful nature of the prefecture.
