〇 On July 8, the Gyeonggi-do Council for Sustainable Development dispatched its trainee group to Okinawa, the region designated as the future city of SDGs, as part of its international cooperation project.
〇 Japan’s implementation and practice of SDGs is considered the most advanced cases in East Asia. Especially, the Okinawa’s case will serve as a useful tool for comparing with major East Asian countries such as Korea and China, and for analyzing Korea’s SDG progress.
〇 The council intends to reflect the training result at the Sustainable Development Conference (to be hosted by Siheung City from October 10 to 12).
