○ On May 9, twenty-one members of Japan-Korea Parliamentarians’ Union led by Chairman NAKAMOTO Takashi of Hiroshima Prefectural Council visited the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council in South Korea.

○ Attending the welcoming reception hosted by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council, Governor LEE Cheol-woo of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and the Vice-chair PARK Young Seo of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council shared ideas with the union members on measures to enhance exchange & cooperation between the local councils of the two countries.

○ Back in January, Governor Lee visited Hiroshima Prefectural Government Office and signed a Letter of Intent on Friendly Exchange, while Vice-chair Park visited Hiroshima Prefectural Council to discuss initiatives to promote exchange between the two regions.
