The 2023 Pohang International Fireworks Festival will be held for three days between May 26 and 28 at the Hyeongsan Riverbank in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The Pohang International Fireworks Festival started as a commemorative fireworks show for Pohang Citizens’ Day in 2004, themed around the ‘light’ symbolizing Pohang as a world-renowned steel city and the ‘fire’ symbolizing its hot blast furnace. Since then, it has expanded into an international festival, with famous fireworks teams from abroad participating every year.

This year, various events such as the International Fireworks Show (Philippines, Italy, Sweden, Korea), Hyeongsan Riverbank Fringe Festival, Romantic Concert, and Street Parade are scheduled to take place.
