On Tuesday, April 18, Governor KIM Kwan-young met with Chinese Ambassador to Korea XING Haiming in the Governor's Office of Jeollabuk-do Provincial Government an exchanged opinion on issues of mutual interest.

Mr. Kim proposed that Chinese corporations invest in Saemangeum area and requested some easing of restrictions on tourist groups from Korea. He also requested cooperation for the promotion of Jeollabuk-do products imported into China and attracting Chinese students to universities in Jeollabuk-do Province.

Ambassador Xing made an official visit to Jeollabuk-do Province for the first time since taking office as the Chinese Ambassador to Korea in January 2020.
