The 2004 Wing of Exchange in Northeast Asia in Shimane

※ Overview: In celebration of the 15th anniversary of sisterhood between Shimane and Gyeongsangbuk-do and the 10th anniversary of friendship between Shimane and Jilin, China, young men and women from Shimane Prefecture, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Jilin, and other Northeast Asian regions (Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China; Primorsky Territory, Russia) visited Shimane for the exchange programs to promote mutual understanding and friendship and to form a new network in Northeast Asia.

1) Title: The ‘Wing of Exchange’ for Korea, China, and Japan

2) Objectives: The three members mutually dispatched young men and women with the request of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea to celebrate the 10th anniversary of friendship between Shimane and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, to promote the exchange of younger generations, and to form a network in Northeast Asia.

3) Sponsors: The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Association of Northeast Asia Regional Governments (NEAR)
