As a sub-session of the 2024 NEAR Members Workshop, Secretary-General LIM Byung-jin hosted a dialogue with the high-ranking officials including the vice-governor and the director from Mongolian member regions on May 22.

The dialogue started with Mr. Lim’s expression of gratitude to the Mongolian members for their participation in the Workshop event. Then, he provided NEAR’s future activities including the NEAR event schedules for 2024, conveying his hopes for Mongolian members’ active participation.

Daarii Jargalsaikhan, vice-governor of Bulgan Province, said that this has been his second Workshop to experience and promised his active participation in more of NEAR activities, acknowledging the value of the association as the multilateral cooperation platform highly useful for the local governments of Northeast Asia.

Myedyen Nurjol, secretary of the Civil Service Council in Bayanulgii Province, and Namsrai Altantsetseg, head of the Department of Financial Control and Internal Audit in Govisumber Province, conveyed thanks to Mr. Lim for his invitation to the Workshop and promised their continued interest and participation in NEAR activities.

Lkhagvasuren Tuguldur, head of Audit Office in Selenge Province, said he is pleased to see the NEAR Member Training Program, an idea he suggested at the Workshop last year, coming out into the world thanks to the dedicated effort of Mr. Lim.
