On June 18, Secretary-General LIM Byung-jin attended the 2024 International Forum for Trilateral Cooperation (IFTC) hosted by Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS), which was held in Seoul under the theme of “25^th Anniversary of Trilateral Cooperation: Institutionalizing Collaboration and Promoting Exchanges for a Brighter Future.” 

Mr. Lim offered his congratulations to TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup, host of the forum, and met with other participating dignitaries including KIM Sung-hwan, president of Taejae Future Consensus Institute and former minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the ROK; MIZUSHIMA Koichi, ambassador of Japan to the ROK; NING Fukui, former Chinese ambassador to the ROK; WANG Fan, president of China Foreign Affairs University; and Ganbold Baasanjav, head of office, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), East and North-East Asia Office. Mr. Lim introduced the concept of NEAR and requested their continuous interest and support.

TCS IFTC is an international event which has been held annually since 2011, aimed at enhancing public awareness on the trilateral cooperation and fostering coordination among the governments of the three nations.
