Shenyang Imperial Palace

The Shenyang Imperial Palace was the palace of the early Qing dynasty. Early construction began in 1625, the tenth year of the reign of the Tianming emperor, or Nurhachi. Construction was completed in 1636, the first year of the Chongde reign. It covers a total area of 63,272㎡ and a building area of 18,968㎡. One of China’s two major imperial palaces, the Shenyang Imperial Palace is the sole group of imperial buildings that sits beyond the Shanhai Pass.

Benxi Water Caves

The Benxi Water Caves is a cavern system located 35km northeast of Benxi City, Liaoning Province. It covers a total area of 200㎢. It consists of six tourist areas: water caves, the Wenquan Temple, Tanggou, Guanmen Mountain, Tiecha Mountain, and Miaohou Mountain. Among them, the water caves are a large limestone cave with a subterranean river formed hundreds of years ago. The cave is large and deep, and currently 3,000m have been developed.

Qianshan National Park

The Qianshan National Park is located 17km southeast of Anshan City, Liaoning Province. Referred to as “The Northeast Pearl,” Qianshan, or Qian Mountain, is a branch of the Changbai Mountains. It covers a total area of 72㎢. Its main peak stands at 708.3m. It has nearly 1,000 peaks, 999 peaks to be exact, so it was named “Qianshan.” A classical scholar said, “After seeing the Five Sacred Mountains, ordinary mountains are nothing; after seeing Qianshan, the Five Sacred Mountains are nothing.
