- Location : Uvs Aimag is located at the east part of Mongolia, called Ikh nuuruudiin khotgor. At 1336km away from Ulaanbaatar City. To the North, it borders Russia; to the East, Zabkhan; to the South, Khobd; and to the West, Bayanolgii Aimag.
- Climate : Since Uvs Aimag is located in Ikh Nuuruudiin Xotgor of the Altai Mountains, it has a capricious climate. The air pressure of Ikh Nuuruudiin Xotgor is up to 1054hPa, and the temperature is down to 50 degrees Celsius in January. It is the coldest place in Mongolia. Its average annual rainfall is 100 to 150 mms, and 200 to 250mms in prairies, and 250 to 300mms in high mountains respectively. The heaviest rainfall occurs in July and August, and the least rainfall in January and February. The average velocity of the wind is 4㎧
