History

  • Ningxia is one of the birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilization.
  • In the third century BC, after the First Emperor of China unified the countries, he installed Beidijun and stationed troops. Furthermore, using water from the Yellow River, the emperor started an irrigation system.
  • On October 25, 1958, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established.

  • Location : upper region of Yellow river located Northwest of China, East Ningxia meets with Shaanxi Province, Northwest boarders with Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and South with Gansu Province
