On September 5, NEAR Secretary-General Jun Jae-won attended the UCLG ASPAC (United Cities and Local Governments Asia Pacific) Congress in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do Province, South Korea. Secretary-General Jun met with Ms. Bernadia Tjandradewi, Secretary-General of UCLG ASPAC and held discussions regarding cooperation between the two organisations UCLG is the biggest network among local governments, consisting of over 1000 regional governments of 136 countries, working as a platform for knowledge sharing and network building support, similar to the work of the United Nations, on a regional level.
