On February 20, KIM Eun-jung, Officer of International Cooperation at the NEAR Secretariat participated in the WeGo Kick-off event hosted at the WeGo Secretariat to explore potential avenues to cooperate with WeGo.

The event garnered the presence of over 200 domestic and international dignitaries. Highlights included a welcoming address by Secretary-General PARK Jung-sook, a video congratulatory message from Mayor OH Se-hoon of Seoul, the chair city of WeGo, an overview of the WeGo Secretariat's initiatives focusing on “Smart Life in Smart Cities,” and a lively forum.

The World E-Governments Organization (WeGo), established 2010 with 50 member cities, serves as an international platform dedicated to disseminating global smart city solutions while fostering capacity building and innovation for urban development. Presently, WeGo boasts 202 member cities, companies, and institutions. Since 2021, WeGo has maintained close communication and collaboration with NEAR, marking a fruitful partnership in advancing common objectives.
