Henan Province, China, holds the First NEAR Subcommittee on Cross-Border E-Commerce Meeting themed "Joint Cooperation and Mutual Win-Win" on Tuesday, August 9.
The First NEAR Subcommittee on Cross-Border E-Commerce Meeting themed "Joint Cooperation and Mutual Win-Win" was attended by representatives of 21 NEAR members from five countries: China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Russia. The meeting covered a presentation on the current state of cross-border e-commerce industries, the NEAR Subcommittee on E-Commerce Signboard Hanging Ceremony, and the signing of an MOU for further trade cooperation between the Office of Commerce of Henan Province and the NEAR Secretariat.
In particular, as a result of the sustained efforts of the NEAR Secretariat and the government of Henan Province, an MOU was signed between the Korea Internet E-Commerce Association, KOTRA Zhengzhou Overseas Office, and the International Digital Trade Research Institute of Henan Province
Secretary-General Kim Ok-chae said in his congratulatory remarks that he looked forward to seeing Henan Province grow into a driving force for sustainable growth in the Northeast Asian region in the field of international e-commerce through the NEAR platform.
In addition, Mr. Lee Young Seok, Director of the Job Creation and Economy Bureau of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, introduced the current status of e-commerce development in Gyeongsangbuk-do and its history of exchange with Henan Province, its sister province. in his congratulatory remarks.
Henan Province, has actively contributed to the development of NEAR as a founding member. Moreover, Henan Province was approved to be designated as the coordinator of the NEAR Subcommittee on E-Commerce at the Eleventh Working Committee in 2017.
