[Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea] Jeju Island Expands Local Diplomacy Beyond ASEAN to the Middle East2024-02-26

○ On February 23, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province signed a working exchange          agreement with Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. 


○ The agreement provides a bridgehead for spending in the Middle East to further expand the promotion of ASEAN Plus Alpha (+α), Jeju's core policy. 



○ The two sides agreed to conduct business exchanges in the fields of tourism, future and new industries, culture, arts, education, economy and trade to promote joint development of the two regions.
