NEAR Secretary General Kim Ok-chae appointed former Minister to the Korean Embassy in Russia, Kim Kyung-ho, as a NEAR honorary ambassador on Wednesday, July 1.
Honorary Ambassador Kim Kyung-ho is a regional expert who has served as a high-ranking diplomat for many years in the embassies of the Republic of Korea in Russia and Uzbekistan. He is currently an advisory ambassador on Healthcare and Tourism for Daegu Metropolitan City and an honorary advisor for the Association of Korean Cultural Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Secretary General Kim expressed his hopes and expectations, stating that due to his experience and broad global network, Ambassador Kim would play a great role as an advisor on international affairs and as an honorary ambassador responsible for the Russian region.
