The Gyeongsangbuk-do International Friendship Exchange Group convened a meeting and luncheon with the Shenyang Young Southern Friendship Association on December 21. Subsequently, they visited the Korean Consulate-General in Shenyang on December 22 and met with the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress. Later, a meeting and dinner were held with HAO Peng, Liaoning Provincial Party Secretary. During the gathering, BAE Han-cheol, Chairperson of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council, pledged active efforts to enhance exchange and collaboration between Gyeongsangbuk-do and Liaoning Province, aiming to strengthen trade and cultural ties.

It is noteworthy that the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council and the Liaoning Provincial People's Congress had previously signed a Letter of Intent for Friendship Exchange in 2019. Furthermore, at the 14th NEAR General Assembly in October of this year, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Liaoning Province reaffirmed their commitment to friendship exchange by signing another Letter of Intent with the support of the NEAR Secretariat.
