○ On December 26, Governor LEE Chul-woo of Gyeongsangbuk-do, also the Chairman of the Governors Association of the Republic of Korea, convened with WANG Wanming, President of the Chinese Association of People's Friendship with Foreign Countries. They reached an agreement to resume the Korea-China Governors Meeting in Korea during the first half of 2024, which has been suspended over the past six years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

○ The Third Korea-China Governors' Meeting will be held for the first time in six years since the inaugural meeting in 2016 (Korea) and the second in 2018 (China).

○ While in Beijing, Mr. Lee visited the Global Innovation Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Zhongguancun (Beijing New Technology Industrial Development Zone), and the Pangoal Institution to engage in discussions on economic cooperation.
