○ A delegation, led by Aomori Governor SOICHIRO Miyashita and Prefectural Council Chairman Marui Yutaga, paid a visit to the Jeju Provincial Office on January 10.

○ During the meeting, the two sides explored avenues to enhance practical exchanges, leveraging the distinctive natural environments and characteristics of each region.

○ Notably, Jeju Island and Aomori Prefecture have actively promoted initiatives such as World Natural Heritage sites, tourism, culture, sports, and people-to-people exchanges over the past seven years, following the signing of a twinning agreement in August 2016.
