Gyeongsangbuk-do promotes groundbreaking policy to address the declining birthrate led by local governments


◎ Gyeongsangbuk-do recognized that local governments should take the lead from the existing central government policy center to solve the problem of low birthrate, one of the biggest challenges facing Korean society, and held a final discussion on "War on Low Birthrate" at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office on January 18 and prepared 10 policy initiatives.


◎ Gyeongsangbuk-do's Declining Birthrate Policy Initiative


    - K-Marry me project, which provides partial to full support for home improvement loans based on the number of children born.

  - Creation of an all-in-one childcare town with free housing and land lease conditional on childbirth

  - Promoting Gyeongbuk-type parenting-friendly low-interest public rental 'Happy Dream Housing'

  - Supplying residential land for activities in development restricted areas

  - Providing a rural home for young people in rural areas when raising children

  - Promoting the K-Care Community Project

  - Operating Gyeongbuk-type grandparents Care

  - Opening the Gyeongbuk IKIA Dream Bank Account

  - Establishing Gimcheon Innovation City Private Education Town

  - Granting incentives to family-friendly departments

  - Reducing to 9-5 working hours

  - Promoting the K-Foreigner Responsibility System
