Secretary LIM Byung-Jin Hosts Pre-Conference Meetings with Korean NEAR Members Attending the 14th NEAR General Assembly2023-10-27

On October 24, NEAR Secretary-General LIM Byung-jin hosted a pre-conference meeting with Korean NEAR members attending the 14th NEAR General Assembly at Lotte Hotel's restaurant 'Peninsula' in Ulsan, Korea. The meeting was attended by GWAK Tae-yeol, the ambassador for International Relations in Chungcheongbuk-do, WU Seong-gyu, the ambassador for International Relations in Chungchengnam-do, and SHIM Jae-hyeon, the ambassador for International Relations in Gangwon-do.



During the meeting, Mr. Lim expressed his gratitude to the Korean NEAR members for their participation in the 14th NEAR General Assembly. He pledged to promote various exchange and cooperation projects between NEAR and Korean members in the future.



The 14th NEAR General Assembly saw the participation of 29 attendees from 13 Korean member regions, including notable figures such as KIM Doo-gyum, the mayor of Ulsan Metropolitan City, and LEE Cheol-woo, the governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do. Additionally, there were 11 ambassadors for International Relations representing cities and provinces such as Ulsan, Daegu, Incheon, Sejong, Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Chungcheongnam-do, Jeollabuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Jeju-do. This marked the highest number of member regions and high-level officials ever to attend a NEAR General Assembly.
