○ On May 27, Lee Cheol-woo, governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, had a phone call with Hirai Shinji, governor of Tottori Prefecture. Tottori is a region renowned for its successful practices in resolving the low-birthrate problem, and during the phone call, the two regions agreed to cooperate in addressing low-birthrate issue.

○ Gyeongsangbuk-do and Tottori will put their focus on the importance of childcare, seeking to establish “K-childcrare” model where the local community is actively involved in child-raising. The two regions’ cooperation is expected to create a significant synergy effect.
