On April 24, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Daegu Metropolitan city held the Korea-China Culture and Tourism Festival at Shigi Square located in Nanjīng Lu, Shanghai, China. To celebrate the year 2016, the festival titled 'The Year of Chinese Visit to Daegu·Gyeongbuk,’ was co-organized by Chinese local citizens, tour industry and prominent names in media to attract higher numbers of ‘Youke (Chinese tourists)’ toDaegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. On the day, Secretary-General Jun Jae-won, as a part of the delegation from Gyeongsangbuk-do headed by the governor Kim Kwan-yong, attended the opening ceremony of the Shanghai investment center, and and the signing of an MOU ≈ between Daegu Haany University, and a Chinese company ‘New Life’ regarding ‘K Beauty Cosmetics Industry Promotion.’
