Northeast Asia International Cooperation Prize was given to NEAR Secretary General. Lee Seung-ryul, President of the Northeast Asian Community Studies Institute selected NEAR for an award winner of the 8th Northeast Asia International Cooperation Prize and the ceremony was held at the Press Center, Seoul on November 10 (Tue). The Northeast Asian Community Studies Institute chose NEAR as an award winner in that NEAR has contributed to leading co-prosperity in Northeast Asian regions by working together with brisk exchange among regional governments and creating peaceful environment in the regions as a representative regional diplomatic cooperative organization in Northeast Asia. Secretary General Jun representing NEAR said that “being awarded the prize would be a milestone for NEAR to lead creating one Northeast Asian community complying with NEAR’s founding purpose; peace and co-prosperity in Northeast Asia.”
