Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is broadening its horizons by bolstering exchange and collaboration efforts with prominent cities in Northeast Asia, encompassing China, Mongolia, and Russia.

On August 21, Governor OH Young-hoon embarked on a visit to Changchun City, Jilin Province, China, to partake in the Third Northeast Asian Local Government Cooperation Roundtable. During this event, he engaged in discussions with senior officials representing the participating cities, including HU Yuting, governor of Jilin Province.

During his meeting with Mr. Hu, they explored avenues to expand exchange and cooperation between Jeju and Jilin.

"In this critical time, when local collaboration and diplomacy are imperative," Mr. Oh remarked, "let us first consider the possibility of establishing a direct airline route to bolster connectivity and exchange between our two regions."
