Gyeongju City in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, officially announced the establishment of a sister city relationship with Chizou City, located in the southwest region of China's Anhui Province.

These two cities have agreed to pursue comprehensive cooperation across various domains, including culture, tourism, and economic industries.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has necessitated online interactions, the cities signed the official sister city agreement during this visit.
