The NEAR Sub-Committee on Mineral Resources Development and Coordination was held on July 19 in Magadan region, Russia. There were plenty of events, including the 1st International Magadan Investment Fair and the 75th anniversary of Magadan’s founding. The Sub-Committee was a platform to share experiences in the area of natural resources development and have a continued partnership among member regions. Also, participants had a chance to hear the story of industrial sites by inviting representatives of mining enterprises as well as of Magadan government. Director General Lee Jong-hwan attended in the Sub-Committee on behalf of the NEAR Secretariat and delivered a presentation regarding investment activation plans of Magadan and exchange and cooperation plans among NEAR member regions.
