As part of the International Sport Forum “Russia-Country of Sports“ to be held on 4-7 July, the 5th Children of Asia International Sports Games 2012 will be held in Yakutsk City, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The Children of Asia Games aims to develop children's sports and to strengthen the ideas of Olympism and international sports cooperation. Under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee and UNESCO, the event will unite young people from all around the world to participate and compete in 20 different sports in the cities of Yakutsk, Mirny and Neryungri. This year, three new sporting disciplines will be introduced: swimming, sambo and freestyle wrestling for persons with disabilities.
