(1) “Northeast Asia Wings of Exchange in Shimane 2012”

“Northeast Asia Wings of Exchange in Shimane 2012” is to be held on 3-8 August, where youths from Northeast Asian countries visiting Shimane Prefecture will stay together with local students through a home-stay program. They will be engaged in discussions on environment and welfare, experience the traditional culture of Shimane and introduce their own culture to each other.

(2) “International Culture Palette of Northeast Asia”

Aimed at contributing to cultural exchanges and building networks among Northeast Asian regions, Shimane Prefecture will hold the “International Culture Palette of Northeast Asia on 7-11 October where traditional culture and art troupes from Northeast Asian regions are invited to conduct performances and build friendship with prefectural residents. This year marking the 40^th anniversary of the normalization of Japan-China relations, art troupes from Jilin Province, with which Shimane signed an agreement of friendship, will be invited to cement ties between the two countries.
