[Seoul Special City, Korea] Seoul and Tokyo resume full-scale exchange for the first time in eight years2023-07-03

Seoul said that Mayor OH Se-hoon traveled to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and met with KOIKE Yuriko, the governor of Tokyo on June 27.


The two sides have been engaged in exchange for 35 years since Seoul signed a friendly city agreement with Tokyo in September 1988, but meetings between the mayor and the Tokyo governor had been suspended since October 2015 due to the deterioration of bilateral relations.
