The NEAR Secretariat, led by Secretary-General LIM Byung-jin, is organizing a travelling exhibition to showcase the award-winning artworks of the NEAR Youth Art Contest. This exhibition will feature artworks from five Northeast Asian countries: China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Russia. The exhibition will take place in Pohang City, Ulsan Metropolitan City, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Sejong Special Self-Governing Province for a period of four months, starting from August 16 and running until December 15.

Featuring over 70 winning pieces from previous contests, the exhibition will encompass a diverse range of subjects, including traditional cultures, natural landscapes, street scenes, and cultural festivals. These artworks provide insights into the perspectives and interpretations of Northeast Asian youth under the theme of 'Northeast Asian Regional Culture.'

Since 2016, the NEAR Youth Art Contest has been an annual event held in March and April. It is open to youth from the local governments of the five participating countries: China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Russia. To date, the contest has attracted the participation of more than 2,037 young artists from these five local governments.
